As we shared in October, Kelsey Hirsch is doing remarkable work selling bands to raise money for RAINN.

Kelsey recently visited the Inspiration mural and put her handprint in Joe Paterno.

A group of hard-working students from Penn State's College of Information Sciences and Technology have been working over the course of the semester to document stories about the remarkable individuals in the Inspiration Mural and design a new interactive experience that will help people to learn more about them.

Here's a sneak peek at what they've been putting together:
We hope to have a demo of this available in early 2013. Stay tuned!

Just in time for Penn State alumni, fans, and community members who will be traveling to State College for the big game vs. Ohio State this weekend, we are pleased to announce that Council Member Michael Pilato is launching a new project called Inspiration Way.

Inspiration Way is a tribute to inspirational figures in Penn State and State College's history. It's an opportunity for you to purchase a brick with your name or in honor of someone else. Proceeds support the Inspiration Mural.

We know that this initiative will be a good stepping stone on the community's journey for healing.

You can read more about the project on the Public Art Academy's website.

The newest addition to the Inspiration Mural is Kelsey Hirsch.

Kelsey is the founder of Bands4RAINN, a charity effort responsible for raising thousands of dollars for RAINN by selling wristbands and accepting donations. She has been awarded RAINN's HOPE award and is currently nominated for both the Prudential Spirit Award and the Diller Teen Tikkun Olam Award.

Thank you, Kelsey, for your work promoting Hope and Healing!

Michael Pilato was an honorary judge at last night's Homecoming Parade at Penn State! He used the opportunity to share more information about our projects.

We are very excited to be partnering with The 367 Project for the 2012-2013 school year. The students will be helping to execute Council projects in order to develop their leadership skills.

On Saturday, they traveled to Shaver's Creek to complete the "high ropes" course as they work on getting to know each other and form their teams.
